Welcome to PetArtGen. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website at https://petartgen.com/ and our AI pet portrait service (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.
- "We," "us," "our": Refers to PetArtGen
- "You," "your," "user": Refers to the individual or entity using our Services
- "Content": Includes photographs you upload, the portraits generated from them, and any other material submitted or generated through our Services
- "Account": Your registered account on our platform
By creating an account, accessing our website, or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You also represent that you are of legal age to form a binding contract.
PetArtGen provides an AI image service that turns a photograph of a pet into a stylised portrait. Our Services include:
- Generating a stylised portrait from a photograph you upload, in a style you select
- A free, watermarked, reduced-resolution preview of that portrait
- Unlocking a high-resolution version without a watermark, in several crops, in exchange for credits
- Storage of your uploads and generated portraits in your account, and their removal on request
- Additional features as we may introduce from time to time
We deliver digital files only. We do not print, frame, manufacture or ship any physical product, and nothing in these Terms should be read as a promise to do so.
Portraits are produced by third-party AI image models. This has consequences you should understand before purchasing:
- Output is probabilistic. The same photograph and style can produce different results on different attempts.
- We do not guarantee that a portrait will be an exact or flattering likeness of your pet.
- Results depend heavily on the quality of the photograph you upload.
This is why we let you generate a free watermarked preview before you spend anything. You are expected to review the preview before unlocking a paid download.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- You must maintain and promptly update your account information
- PetArtGen uses Google Sign-In for account authentication. We do not receive or store your Google password
- You are responsible for protecting access to the Google Account connected to PetArtGen
- You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized access to your account
- You must be at least 13 years of age to use our Services
- If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent
- You must not create an account if we have previously banned or suspended you
- You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security
- You should use the security controls offered by Google, including two-step verification where available
You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
- Create deepfakes or misleading content intended to deceive or harm others
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Use our Services to generate spam, phishing content, or malware
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract our AI models
- Circumvent any access or usage limitations we have implemented
- Use automated tools to access our Services without authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt our Services or servers
- Impersonate any person or entity
Our Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that our Services will be:
- Uninterrupted or error-free
- Secure or free from viruses or other harmful components
- Available at all times or in all locations
- Accurate or complete in their output
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our Services at any time with or without notice.
Our website, Services, and all original content, features, and functionality are owned by PetArtGen and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our Services for their intended purpose. This license does not include:
- Resale or commercial use of our Services or their content
- Collection and use of product listings, descriptions, or prices
- Making derivative uses of our Services or their content
- Downloading or copying content for any party other than yourself
- Use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering tools
You retain all rights to the photographs you upload. By uploading a photograph, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license, limited to the purpose of operating the Services, to:
- Store your photograph so that you can generate portraits from it and retrieve them later
- Transmit your photograph to the third-party AI image providers we use, so that a portrait can be generated
- Create derivative images (the portrait, its watermarked preview, and the various crops) from it
This license exists only so that we can run the service for you. It ends when you delete your account or ask us to remove the content, except for copies retained in routine backups for a limited period.
We do not use your photographs or your generated portraits to train AI models, and we do not sell them or share them with anyone other than the AI providers needed to fulfil your request.
We will not publish your photographs or portraits in marketing, on our website, or on social media unless you give us explicit permission to do so.
For portraits generated through our Services:
- You own the portrait generated from your own photograph, and may use it personally, including printing it and giving it as a gift
- Generated content must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy
- We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms
Note that the legal status of copyright in AI-generated images differs between countries and is still developing. We make no representation that a generated portrait is eligible for copyright protection in your jurisdiction.
- You are solely responsible for your content and the consequences of posting or publishing it
- You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you submit
- You will not submit content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
- We do not endorse any user content or opinions expressed through our Services
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Accessing or attempting to access our Services by any means other than through our provided interfaces
- Attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems or networks
- Breaching or circumventing any security or authentication measures
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of our Services
- Using automated systems (bots, scrapers) without our written permission
- Creating content that promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activities
- Generating content that exploits or harms children
- Producing content that violates privacy rights or contains personal information without consent
- Creating misleading deepfakes or manipulated media without proper disclosure
- Using our Services in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure
- Engaging in any activity that interferes with other users' access to our Services
- Creating multiple accounts to bypass usage limits or restrictions
- Reselling or redistributing our Services without authorization
PetArtGen does not sell subscriptions. We sell one-off packs of credits. Buying a pack is a single purchase: nothing recurs, nothing renews automatically, and there is nothing to cancel.

- The price shown at checkout is the price you pay
- We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects a purchase you have already made
- Credits are spent to unlock a high-resolution, watermark-free portrait and its accompanying crops
- Generating a free watermarked preview does not consume credits
- Credits are only consumed after a generation completes successfully. If a generation fails, you are not charged for it
- Credits purchased in a pack expire 30 days after purchase. The expiry date is shown on your credits page
- Credits have no cash value, are not transferable between accounts, and cannot be redeemed for money except where required by law
- Payment is due immediately upon purchase
- We use Stripe as our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card details
- You must provide current, complete, and accurate billing information
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
We may impose limits on the number of free previews per account, and may restrict or suspend accounts that appear to be automating or abusing the free tier. This is necessary because every generation costs us money to produce.
- You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings
- Termination does not relieve you of any obligations to pay outstanding fees
- Upon termination, your right to access and use our Services will immediately cease
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to our Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Breach of these Terms
- Violation of our Acceptable Use Policy
- Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Extended periods of inactivity
- Request by law enforcement or government agencies
- Discontinuation of our Services
Upon termination:
- Your right to use our Services will immediately cease
- We may delete your account and all associated content
- You remain liable for all charges incurred prior to termination
- Provisions of these Terms that should survive termination will remain in effect
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- Warranties that the Services will meet your requirements or be available, timely, secure, or error-free
- Warranties regarding the quality, accuracy, or reliability of any content obtained through the Services
IN NO EVENT SHALL PETARTGEN BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
- Damages resulting from your use or inability to use our Services
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your content
- Statements or conduct of any third party on our Services
- Any other matter relating to our Services
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO OUR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PetArtGen, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your use or misuse of our Services
- Your content or any content you submit
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to the operator of PetArtGen and to you as a user. Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer protections or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived in your place of residence.
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@petartgen.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve the dispute through good faith negotiations within 30 days.
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, either party may use the courts, regulators, or alternative dispute-resolution bodies that have jurisdiction under applicable law.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by:
- Posting the updated Terms on our website
- Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- Sending you an email notification (for significant changes)
Your continued use of our Services after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using our Services.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PetArtGen regarding our Services.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
No waiver of any term or condition of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term, and our failure to assert any right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms or our rights hereunder without restriction.
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, pandemics, strikes, or shortages of transportation facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.
